Coffee Morning and Community Library notes…
It was a bright and chilly day for the December coffee morning and it was lovely to see so many of you come along to enjoy a hot drink and delicious slice of cake.
During the morning we said a fond farewell and huge thank you to Vivien who has stepped down from the Community Library after five years. We very much hope she will continue to come along each month to see us and have a cuppa and a chat. I (Jane) have now taken on this role and very much look forward to welcoming some new members to our Library in addition to the two new members this month. It is free to join and we have a wide range of books for all tastes so please do come along and support us.
Our Book of the Month for January is the wise and gloriously big-hearted debut novel “Thrown” from the much-loved broadcaster Sara Cox. Concealed passions and heartaches are uncovered, relationships shattered and formed and the possibility for transformation is revealed. All the things that go on in a local community!
There are plenty of other reasons to come along other than supporting local charities when you buy drinks and delicious homemade cakes, why not borrow a jigsaw puzzle or two from Pett Puzzles or have a chat to a member of the Parish Council. Robert will also be on hand from East Sussex Hearing to assist with any hearing aid needs you may have. So please do come along and support us we are a very friendly bunch and look forward to welcoming you.
Next Coffee Morning 10am – 12pm Wednesday 3rd January
Wishing you a very Happy and Healthy New Year
